Roz Foster joined the Goldin Agency in 2019 after six years as a literary agent with the Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency. She holds a BA in English Literature from UCSD, an MA in English from Portland State University, and studied Philosophy at the University of Sheffield.

She’s drawn to contemporary literary fiction, especially literary speculative. She’s also interested in elevated mystery, crime, and thriller. She loves dark stories with a philosophical gravity at their core. She enjoys spare, perceptive prose, writing with emotional and intellectual depth, work with expressive access to human truth. Think: Kazuo Ishiguro, Katie Kitamura, Samantha Harvey, Ted Chiang, Yōko Ogawa, Solvej Balle, Karl Ove Knausgård (The Morning Star, The Wolves of Eternity, The Third Realm), and Rachel Cusk. In nonfiction, she’s interested in history, narrative nonfiction, tech, science, psychology and design.
