Founded in 1977, the Frances Goldin Literary Agency is a full-service literary agency based in New York City’s Greenwich Village. We represent only literary fiction and serious, often controversial nonfiction, and have a particular interest in books with a progressive political orientation.

The agency represents over 100 award-winning writers, journalists, scholars, poets and activists. We are a small agency by preference. We work closely with our clients through all stages of their work, from the preparation of proposals, to the marketing of published books, to subsidiary rights sales. We believe in fostering long-term relationships with our clients by providing personal attention and working as partners in the development of their writing careers.
